Holiday House
03:18
|
|||
It's on top of a hill,
And in the back garden, there's an airport
With no planes
Out the front, there's a motorway
With no cars.
Hold my hand
Come inside
It's the Holiday House in my dream.
In my dream.
The bedrooms are small, but very comfy.
And every you morning, you can have a clean shirt.
No two breakfasts are ever quite the same.
And you can leave, whenever you please.
Hold my hand
Come inside
It's the Holiday House in my dream.
In my dream.
But it's just a dream.

A funny little man in a funny little hat
Gave me a little pink pill, and said swallow that.
But instead I planted it in my back garden
And now I water it on Sunday mornings.
The Acid Tree, The Acid Tree
There's always something there
That I can't quite see.
I waited for weeks and nothing happened at all
I even tried playing it some Grateful Dead
But then I realised that would probably kill it
So I played it "Tiny Children" instead.
The Acid Tree, The Acid Tree
There's always something there
That I can't quite see.
And the branches smile at me (smiling at me)
And the flowers grow in my eyes (flowers growing)
And I know where I am (know where I am)
Where I am.
And then one day, there it was.
I rushed straight out and built myself a multi-storey tree house.
I'm going to move in with my pet dog Cecil,
And we'll live happily ever after in
The Acid Tree, The Acid Tree
The Acid Tree, The Acid Tree
Dog backwards spells me

Diving For The Brick
02:21
|
|||
I'd love to go down to the pool with you,
But I get frightened at the deep end.
I do my utmost to impress.
You just say I look a mess.
I look over the side it looks a long way down.
I hesitate, but then I see you frown.
I hold my breath and think about you.
My knees go weak.
I move my arms and legs.
Do all the right things
But the water goes up my nose
And into my eyes and stings
And the bottom's still miles away
And my lungs are bursting.
What kind of crazy fool would go diving for the brick?
Diving for the brick.
When I get out, I know you'll be impressed.
But woe is me! You've gone to get dressed.
Why is life so cruel?
More to the point why am I such a fool?
I wish I was a big he-man,
with muscles all over the place.
Cos then you'd love me, I bet you would,
and I wouldn't have to go
Diving for the brick
Diving for the brick
Diving for the brick
Diving for the brick
I feel sick
My lungs are sore
My eyes are stinging
But my heart is singing.
