lyrics
A funny little man in a funny little hat
Gave me a little pink pill, and said swallow that.
But instead I planted it in my back garden
And now I water it on Sunday mornings.
The Acid Tree, The Acid Tree
There's always something there
That I can't quite see.
I waited for weeks and nothing happened at all
I even tried playing it some Grateful Dead
But then I realised that would probably kill it
So I played it "Tiny Children" instead.
The Acid Tree, The Acid Tree
There's always something there
That I can't quite see.
And the branches smile at me (smiling at me)
And the flowers grow in my eyes (flowers growing)
And I know where I am (know where I am)
Where I am.
And then one day, there it was.
I rushed straight out and built myself a multi-storey tree house.
I'm going to move in with my pet dog Cecil,
And we'll live happily ever after in

Same here as for the 1978-1989 compilation. Terrible sound quality. Would have been so great to have everything they have released on a couple of discs. Dirk

Most of these songs were available on the 1995 "Yes darling, but is it Art?" CD release. I'm assuming the masters are gone, which is fine if you do a good transfer from the original records. When I saw these were remastered, I was looking forward to some light de-clicking and removal of rumble from the original transfers. This isn't the case. Instead they added some weird super loud "tape hiss" for lack of a better term, and it makes it sound harsh. Very disappointed in the "remastering". numanoid1979
